Deities - Phoenix section

Deity worship is central to bhakti-yoga, or devotional service. Our most worshipabe Deities at Hare Krishna Land, Phoenix, are Sri Sri Radha-Golokananda, Sri Sri Gaura-Nitai, Sri Giri Govardhana and Krishna Balarama and Laksmi-Narayan shilas. They are at the centre of the devotees' devotional activities.

The Deities are awoken at 4 a.m and offered a plate fo Vedic milk sweets. Six more offerings of delicious dishes are prepared in Krishna’s kitchen and offered to the Lord throughout the day until He takes rest at 9.15 p.m. After each offering, there is an arati during which devotees gather before the beautiful forms of the Lord to sing Vaishnava songs for Their pleasure.

For the first arati, which is called mangal-arati, and last arati, called sayana-arati, one may see the Lord in His nightclothes, which is a very speceal experience. Every morning the Deities are dressed in beautiful clothes and are offered fresh flower garlands.

Please refer to our complete list of arati and darshan times so that you may take darshan of the Deities.
