On Saturday 14th of August 2010 the Congregational Preaching Directorate (CPD) opened a Vedic Cultural Centre in Central Flacq, the largest and most populated district of Mauritius.

The vision and mission of this project is to share the different facets of Krishna Consciousness to the people of this region and beyond. Weekly programmes include: a satsang every Friday evening from 7pm to 9pm, a Sunday Feast Programme from 3pm to 5pm, after which a feast is served, Mangal arati on Sunday mornings and a Sunday gurukul for children in the afternoon. Different devotees and professionals are teaching a variety of interesting courses including cooking and music courses. You may find more information about them here .

The first Sunday Feast programme was held on the 5th of September 2010. His Holiness Navayogendra Maharaja was the chief guest and captured everyone’s attention with his lively class. Photos of the event may be viewed here.
