Children's Ratha-yatra

Every end of year the Bhaktivedanta College of Education and Culture organises a special children's Sunday programme and Ratha-yatra at Hare Krishna Land, Phoenix so on the 25th of December 2011 the temple room was bursting with children.

The young students performed dramas and danced for the pleasure of the devotees. Young Stoka Krishna gave class. To the delight of the participants, His Holiness Bhakti Dhir Damodar Swami and His Holiness Bhakti Nrsinga Swami distributed Bhakti Kaisora certificates to all those who had followed the Sunday Gurukula syllabus. The children then pulled Lord Jagganath's cart around the temple and took turn to perform arati and fan Him. The programme finished with gifts for all the children - handed out by a devotee dressed as Krsna. Many thanks to all those who helped to make this programme a success, especially Mothers Nitya-Rupa and Sitala who take care of the Sunday Gurukula at Phoenix and Kishan prabhu who organised the Ratha-yatra.
