For category A (students under the age of 25) the participants submitted an essay with the following title: “The Bhagavad-gita contains knowledge that can shed light on the real purpose of our existence in this material world.”

1st RUNNER UP: HAULKORY Shyama Gauri

The goal of this annual national competition is to encourage the youth to study Bhagavad Gita As It Is with commentaries by the Founder Acarya of ISKCON, His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada. Lord Krishna says in Bhagavad Gita 2.40:
nehābhikrama-nāśo 'sti
pratyavāyo na vidyate
sv-alpam apy asya dharmasya
trāyate mahato bhaya

"In this endeavor there is no loss or diminution, and a little advancement on this path can protect one from the most dangerous type of fear".
