Villa Vrindavana’s Renaissance salons host MOSA, the Museum of Sacred Art, an artistic space that is quite unique in Italy. The gallery displays impressive artistic works portraying religious and devotional subjects from ancient India lore and its epics. Here are displayed imposing works by the Italian contemporary artist Giampaolo Tomassetti, together with other beautiful pieces of art by other international painters.

Travelling With Srila Prabhupada

Forty years ago, in September/October 1975, Srila Prabhupada visited Mauritius twice. During his first visit he had a very enlivening exchange with an enthusiastic young man named Ramoo who suggested to Srila Prabhupada that if Srila Prabhupada addressed the youth in the villages, through evening programmes, many would be attracted to join ISKCON. Srila Prabhupada was so agreeable to this proposal that he told Ramoo: "so if you can organize like that, then I will come personally. I will come and encourage you". As part of the ISKCON 50 Global Celebrations which mark the Golden Jubilee of Srila Prabhupada's voyage to the West this year, and of the incorporation of ISKCON, next year ISKCON Mauritius is also celebrating the fortieth anniversary of Srila Prabhupada's visit to Mauritius.

Boston Raises Indian Flag in Honor of Srila Prabhupada

On Thursday September 17th, at 10:00am, Boston City Hall raised the Indian flag in honor of ISKCON Founder-Acharya Srila Prabhupada.

It was on the same day fifty years ago in 1965, that Prabhupada arrived in Boston’s Commonwealth Pier on the steamship Jaladuta with his message of God consciousness.

From August 13th to 16th a massive event in Kolkata – celebrating the 50th anniversary of Srila Prabhupada’s journey to the U.S. – drew 35,000 people, including representatives of 125 countries and many prominent politicians and VIPs.

On Thursday 13th August, ISKCON-London officially launched their year-and-a-half long celebrations across 2015 and 2016 to commemorate the 50th Anniversary of ISKCON by holding a festival to mark 50 years since Srila Prabhupada departed from India to the US aboard the Jaladuta.
